ABOUT ME

Born and raised in West Seneca, NY. I attended Bucknell University, graduating with a Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering. I spent one year living in NJ before a short stop in Lake Placid to ski, then moved back to WNY in 2002. Since 2018 I've lived in West Seneca with my wife and our two daughers.

I've always liked to build stuff. After discovering cornhole at a friend's party in 2008, I made my first set of boards, and since then it's just been a hobby making sets for family, friends, and neighbors. I was always encouraged to make a business out of it, and in the fall of 2021 I finally decided to create Nickel City Board Company.

I enjoy doing most of our home improvement. My wife and I remodeled much of our old house, everything from installing new floors to overhauling a bathroom to redoing bedrooms for our girls. In our current house we've done floors, paint, finished the basement, built entrance benches/coat racks, built a pool deck, built a pergola, overhauled a playset, built a wood shed, built a fire pit, built a raised garden, made flower beds...you get the idea.

I have a wide range of interests: I've played hockey since I was 8 and run a "beer league" pickup skate. I took up skiing after college and we've been KB pass holders for the past 5 years or so. I also took up mountain biking in the early 2000's, and enjoy riding, working on my bike, and trail work. I've golfed since I was a teen, though I don't get out as much as I'd like anymore. I also enjoy volleyball and tennis, though I haven't played either in awhile. I'm always up for throwing darts, playing Golden Tee, or going bowling. I'm mediocre at best at all of the above :)
